On Thursday, June 19, Beyoncé kicked off her three-night Stade de France takeover. Fans were already excited when clips leaked of Miley rehearsing with Bey hours before Showtime. The setlist got a shine just for this moment, with their joint single “II Most Wanted” making a surprise debut on the tour. The song wasn’t originally included on the “Cowboy Carter” tour, making this performance extra special for fans.
“I couldn’t do this without this young lady,” Bey taunted the screaming crowd before Miley appeared on the spotlight. Her sister was walking off the stage with a fierce, okay! pose. “Give it up to my best friend, the one and only Miley Cyrus!” Beyoncé declared, and the stadium lost it. The duo, dressed in killer gold fits, served up vocals, country, and chemistry.

Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé reunite on stage after almost two decades
Remember, this was the first time the pair had performed together since 2008. Miley and Beyoncé had previously joined forces for the Stand Up To Cancer Telethon. This was a star-studded event designed to raise funds for cancer research.
The pair, alongside other singers including Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood and more, performed a performance of their charity single “Just Sump Up!” Miley, who was just 16 at the time and is still riding high on her ‘Hannah Montana’ fame, shared the stage with the seasoned stars. She later reflected on how Beyoncé and Rihanna treated her like a “little sister” during the performance.
In a 2024 W Magazine interview, Miley recalled being “swaddled between Beyoncé and Rihanna,” who towered over her on their heels, their hips level with her shoulders. “They were these powerful, fully realized, grown-up women, and I’m pretty sure they had braces on the back of their teeth. They were protective of me,” she shared, highlighting the support she felt from her fellow artists.
