Nene Leaks Is Revealing Why She Won’t Be On A Reality Show!
The 57-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum guested on the Humble Brag Podcast on Monday (June 7).
While on the podcast, she explained why she had to turn down a spot on season four of The Traitors .

“So I was asked to do Traitors — I was really excited to do that, by the way,” Nene revealed on the podcast.
She shared that the reason she had to say no to the Peacock reality TV series is because of her son’s ongoing health issues.
“I couldn’t do Traitors because my son is in the hospital. And he’s still in the hospital,” Nene shared.
Nene ‘s 25-year-old son, Brentt Leaks, originally suffered heart failure and a stroke in 2022 and has struggled with health problems since. In 2024, he received a heart transplant , which later led to complications from his body beginning to reject it.
Although Nene had to decline the opportunity, she shared that she doesn’t regret telling Peacock she couldn’t accept a spot on the show. She said on the podcast, “I kept thinking that maybe Brentt would be much better [than June]. My fear was committing and then having to go back to them and say, ‘I can’t do this.’ Then that was never going to work. Brentt was very sick. There was no way I could have committed to that. And I believe you have to leave the country.”
