Esta não é a primeira mancha na HCA. Em 2019, Ambati Rayudu acusou a associação de “política desenfreada e corrupção na seleção de equipes”.

In what comes as a big news, HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao has been arrested by the CID, pertaining to the controversy with the SRH owner Kavya Maran, over the distribution of IPL tickets. The complaint was lodged at the Nallakunta Police Station, alleging black marketing of tickets for the IPL 2025 matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao Arrested

It seems, that the 10% complimentary tickets reserved for each match, were sold in the black market. A preliminary report leveled serious charges against the HCA, that included intimidation, coercion, and blackmail, over the complimentary tickets. SRH also alleged that the HCA president went to the extent of locking the corporate box, hours before SRH’s match against LSG on March 27. He demanded 20 additional tickets.

Entire Case About Distribution of Complimentary Tickets

Rao’s actions allegedly violate the tri-party agreement with SRH, HCA and BCCI, which allocates 3900 complimentary tickets to the association. When the controversy had first surfaced, there were reports that SRH was even considering their home games to another venue, but that actually didn’t happen.

Meanwhile, despite making it to the final last year, IPL 2025 was a big failure for SRH. They finished sixth in the points table, winning six matches, and losing seven. Their famed batting line up also failed quite a few times, during the course of the tournament.
