Larry David and former President Barack Obama are making a sketch comedy TV series for HBO .
The series will focus on American history and will feature cast members from Deadline ‘s Curb Your Enthusiasm .
The logline: “ President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th birthday and celebrate our nation’s unique history on this special occasion… but then Larry David called.”

The untitled half-hour limited series was written by David and his Curb Your Enthusiasm partner Jeff Schaffer who will also direct.
It will also feature “notable” guest stars, yet to be announced.
It’s the first project Larry worked on after Curb Your Enthusiasm finished last year.
Former President Obama said: “I have sat across the table from some of the world’s toughest leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems. Nothing prepared me for working with Larry David .”
Larry added: “Once Curbside ended, I celebrated with a three-day foam party. After a violent allergic reaction to the foam, I longed to return to my simple life as a beekeeper, harvesting organic honey from the wildflowers in my meadow. Sadly, one day my bees mysteriously disappeared. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I return to television, hoping to alleviate the loss of my beloved hive.”
