The villainous character of “Terrific,” the clown, has come a long way since his humble beginnings in the indie horror anthology film “All Hallows’ Eve.” These days, he’s a bona fide box office draw, as the “Terrific” film series continues to surpass box office milestones—an impressive achievement considering the films have a reputation for making audience members physically ill in theaters. That said, the evil clown’s influence is growing, as “Terrific” is the latest horror franchise to receive its own Halloween Horror Nights maze at Universal Studios. Suffice it to say, there will be blood.

The event, opening at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood on August 29, 2025, and September 4, respectively, promises to be one of Universal’s most thrilling rides yet. Modeled after Art’s Funhouse, attendees will endure bloodshed in the Cafe Cafe, the horrors of revolting bathrooms, and other haunted hotspots where art has caused carnage in the past. What’s more, those who dare enter will have to endure unbearable smells and relive some of the most horrific scenes from the films… and it’s not for the faint of heart.

If that’s not brutal enough, attendees can also expect to see Art’s creepy pals, Pale Girl, and Victoria, who share their appetite for mayhem. If you’re one of those people who vomited and walked out of any of the “horrible” movies, this event probably isn’t for you. However, horror fans might find it a fun way to hang out with Art and the gang until their next cinematic adventure hits theaters.

Art the Clown will also return in Terrifying 4

Art the Clown may be moving to the world of the Mazes theme park, but he hasn’t forgotten his roots either. Damien Leone is currently working on “Terrificador 4,” which may be Art’s final film, and the plan is to delve into the clown’s sadistic origin story and reveal why he transformed into a homicidal monster. Leone claims it will be the most ambitious and emotional ride in the franchise, and it will undoubtedly be the most ambitious when it comes to the gore.

Obviously, it will be interesting to see if Leone can resist reviving the art in this line. The fact is, audiences love this sadistic creep, and he’s become a pop culture phenomenon that’s been featured in everything from Universal’s haunted Halloween night events to the “Call of Duty” video games. People can’t get enough of Art the Clown, and they’ll likely demand more of him if the “Terrificador” franchise continues to claw its way to box office success.
