Michelle Trachtenberg ‘s boyfriend Jay Cohen is breaking his silence on her tragic death.
The Gossip Girl finale . The actress passed away in February due to complications from diabetes mellitus. She was 39 years old.
In a new Instagram post, Jay shared his first comments following Michelle’s death.
Read on to find out more…On Wednesday (July 9), the talent agent marked the 26th anniversary of the life-saving kidney transplant he received from a “selfless” donor.
“We, as human beings, need to find a way to love and help all people in need,” Jay wrote in part, per Us Weekly . “Division must stop. Innocent lives should not be victims of the status quo of war or politics; all people deserve the right to live in peace.”
In the comments section of the post, Jay was asked if he could “talk” about what Michelle is going through.
“One day soon! I’m so sorry,” Jay replied along with the broken heart emoji.
When another commenter said it was “not cool” to ask Jay about Michelle, he responded, “Thanks, it’s okay, it comes from the right place. Michelle was loved by so many.”
If you didn’t know, it was first reported in October 2020 that Michelle and Jay were dating. Over the years, Michelle has shared a few photos with Jay on her Instagram.
