Dogs are man’s best friend, but SNL alum Andy Samberg doesn’t want anything to do with Seth Meyers’ dog ‘Frisbee,’ and in fact, loathes the very fiber of Frisbee’s existence, which is something we’ve all just learned.
The revelation came on Amy Poehler ‘s Good Way podcast where she had fellow Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers on. Seth planted the seed by telling Amy about how much Andy Samberg hates Seth’s dog.
Amy Poehler was already well aware of Andy Samberg ‘s Frisbee hatred . The three of them all go back decades together from their SNL days and have remained great friends… again, this is a dog we’re talking about, not a flying saucer.
While talking to Amy, Seth Meyers prompted her to tell Andy Samberg that her dog Frisbee had passed away. Amy had told Seth that Samberg was her next guest, and this led to the perfect opportunity.

What is the story of Seth’s dog, Frisbee?
Seth Frisbee’s dog is 12 years old and turns 13 next month on August 22, according to Dog Time . That photograph above is Frisbee celebrating his 12th birthday on August 22 of last year.
Frisbee is an Italian greyhound. It is an uncommon breed in the United States. They rank 63rd out of the American Kennel Club’s top 199 Track Networks.
According to Hill’s Animal, the Italian Greyhound breed has seen a surge in popularity in recent years. Interest has been driven by the breed’s “charming personalities” and adaptability to various situations.
But not everyone loves this breed… not Andy Samberg!
During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg called Frisbee “clearly some kind of rat-skin hybrid.” It was the first public revelation that Andy had Seth’s dog.
One would think Andy would have compassion for Frisbee, given how much the dog means to Seth. When Meyers proposed to his now-wife, he tied the engagement ring around Frisbee’s collar, a story Seth revealed on Fallon in 2013.
