General Hospital (GH) Spoilers That Kathleen Gati is returning to GH, then Liesl Obrecht’s return has been confirmed! Sod spilled this confirmation and received a statement from Gati about her much-anticipated upcoming stint on the show.
Gati acknowledged that fans have been asking about her return, so she seems thrilled to finally be able to talk about it.
The loyalty of soap viewers is something Gati truly appreciates.
“The fans have been faithful, loyal, begging to come back, continually asking when, oh, when I’ll be back,” Gati said. “I’m truly grateful and so happy to be able to bring story and entertainment back to them again through Obrecht!”
Gati spoke about how much the fan response means to her and noted that she got into acting “to entertain people through the story and the characters.”
Of course, Kathleen Gati certainly does a good job of delivering this entertainment as Liesl Obrecht.
Obrecht has become a beloved character in the years since her 2012 debut, so it will be great to see her back in the mix. It’s been 18 months since Liesl was seen, so that’s a long time!
As for how Liesl will re-enter the screen, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) just set that up with a surprising email to her in the July 11 episode.
Rocco mentioned that he used to be Obrecht’s grandson, so he obviously got some questions from Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to ask.
Even though Britt stole the embryo and had no biological connection to Rocco, he still feels connected to her in some way. Rocco wants to know more about Britt and what she was like, so Liesl is the perfect person to provide answers.
GH fans can expect Obrecht to respond to Rocco’s email and perhaps set up a meeting with him.
Whatever Rocco wants to know about Britt, Liesl will be more than willing to tell him.
Naturally, it makes sense that Obrecht would return to the scene now.
Kelly Thiebaud is set to make her own soap return before the month of July, Ldesl needs to be around for her next storyline.
Whether Thiebaud is playing Britt, a look-alike, or even a complete clone, you can bet Obrecht has some shocking news coming his way.
If Britt turns out to be the real deal, Ldesl will have a miraculous reunion with her daughter.
