Suryakumar Yadav vem lutando com problemas de lesões no passado, mas finalmente deve ser capaz de superar todos eles.
Team India T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav has checked into the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, as per Cricbuzz, keeping in mind the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The 34-year-old will do rehabs and fitness assessments at the facility. With him not being a 100% as yet, he was left out of the Duleep Trophy West Zone squad as well, which will be led by Shardul Thakur.
Suryakumar Yadav Underwent Hernia Surgery
The squad also features the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, Sarfaraz Khan, Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, and Tushar Deshpande. IN fact, it was Suryakumar Yadav, who seemed to have informed the selectors over his unavailability. The T20 specialist had undergone a hernia surgery in Munich in June.
As per the MCA officials now, Surya will regain full fitness before the Asia Cup which is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 28. On the other hand, it is also learned that PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer too visited the CoE last week for fitness tests. He has returned home after routine assessments.
Should be Fine Before Asia Cup 2025
He should be available for the Duleep Trophy, unless he gets picked for the Asia Cup. There is always a sort of uncertainty surrounding Iyer’s selection in the team, notwithstanding the format. There were murmurs of him being included in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy as well, but that of course did not happen.
Meanwhile, the Duleep Trophy will begin on August 28 in Bengaluru. It is important to note that West Zone has been slotted in the semis already, and will start their campaign on September 4.
