Magic man Siraj

Team India pulled off a miraculous victory to level the series at 2-2. England were 301/3 while chasing 374, and from there India won. Mohammed Siraj was the orchestrator, picking 3 wickets when England needed 35 runs to win on the last day. He bowled 30.1 overs in the last innings to get India across the line. His heroics were lauded by Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, among others.

Jasprit Bumrah injured

Jasprit Bumrah has seemingly injured himself again. During the India vs England Test series, Bumrah has supposedly picked up an injury to his knee. The injury isn’t serious, and Bumrah will start his rehab soon. The pacer had looked tired during the 4th Test, and this might be the reason why.

Bangladesh squad for Asia Cup

Bangladesh have announced a preliminary squad for the Asia Cup 2025 in September. Litton Das has been named captain, and the entire 25-member squad will attend a fitness camp later this week. The same team will play a 3-match T20I series against the Netherlands as preparation for the Asia Cup.

Heroic ‘injured’ Chris Woakes

Stats and records come and go, but it’s moments that most remember. People will remember that Suryakumar Yadav catch for ages but may not remember who delivered the ball. Chris Woakes will similarly go down in history. Despite dislocating his left shoulder, Woakes came out to bat as England needed 17 runs to win. Woakes had tucked his left arm into his sweater and was going to bat with his left arm only despite being a righty. He didn’t face a ball, but even running caused him great pain. It’ll be a memory for every Test cricket lover to remember.

Gill keeps his promise

Prior to the India vs England Test series, Shubman Gill shared his aim for the 5 matches. He wanted to end as the highest scorer. More than 50 days later, the India Test captain has fulfilled that. Gill was named India’s Man of the Tournament for his 754 runs by Brendon McCullum.
