ASIA CUP 2025: IND e PAK podem enfrentar três vezes no torneio, desde que cheguem à remaining.
The IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 controversy will eventually be kept aside, it seems so, and the battle between the two teams will take centerstage. In that, India has a much better team than Pakistan, and former skipper Rashid Latif has expressed concerns over his side’s performance.
Rashid Latif Not Confident of Team Pakistan?
The big clash will take place on September 14, and Latif feels that the Pakistani team needs massive improvements in all the departments of the game, and even their execution. Speaking with IANS, he said that PAK’s recent losses against Bangladesh and West Indies have brought issues to the fore.
“It will be very tough for Pakistan to play against a strong Indian side on September 14. Asia Cup ho jaye bas (Just hope Asia Cup goes on without issues),” Latif stated. “Humari cricket hawa may chal rhi hai (our cricket is inconsistent)… We lost to Bangladesh and the West Indies — matches we should never have lost. Our captain might be good, but juggling all three formats is not easy. We have talent, but we are not making the right decisions yet,” he added.
“Cricket Hawa Mein Chal Rahi Hai”
Latif also went on to say that even though there is talent in the team, they need better execution and decision-making, while facing quality teams like India. “There is talent, but execution and decision-making are the most essential things, especially against a team like India.”
In the last couple of decades, even though there haven’t been many IND vs PAK contests, but then the difference between them has become more apparent. Even in T20Is, where Pakistan facies to be a force to reckon with, they have found themselves on the losing side, more often than not.
