Marvel Rivals Season 3 is coming fast, with a new map, a new hero, and a new release structure that will mean shorter time between updates. Phoenix makes his debut in the first half of the season, alongside a new map inspired by Symbiote Planet, and when the second half of Season 3 launches, you can also expect another new hero, though Netase hasn’t officially revealed them yet.

Below, we’ve listed the Marvel Rivals Season 3 release dates in your time zone, along with what to expect from the new update.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Release Time in Your Time Zone

The first half of Marvel Rivals Season 3 will launch on July 11th after a maintenance period that, based on the Season 2 Battle Pass end time, should begin around 4 AM. Maintenance typically lasts about two hours, so assuming there are no delays during maintenance, Season 3 should begin around 6 AM EDT . Here’s what that looks like across time zones:

  • 3 AM PDT To the West Coast of North America
  • 6 AM EDT For the East Coast of North America
  • 7 AM BRT to Brazil
  • 11:00 BST for the UK
  • 12:00 CEST For Western and Central Europe
  • 19:00 JST for Japan
  • 20:00 AEST For the east coast of Australia

Marvel Rivals Season 3 start time is the same across all platforms.

NetEase is implementing shorter seasons starting with Season 3, so each half of a season lasts a month. Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 doesn’t have an official release date, but you can expect Blade, the new addition to the game’s playable roster, to go live around August 11th.

What to expect from Marvel Rivals season 3

The first half of Season 3 introduces a new duelist, Jane Grey-Slash-The Phoenix, and a new map designed with the Symbiote planet in mind, called Klyntar: Celestial Husk. The season’s battle pass is, appropriately, themed after Klyntar and features several symbiote-inspired outfits for a selection of heroes.

As for Phoenix, her battle style appears to be a mix of strong single-target attacks, high mobility thanks to a flight ability, and an area-of-effect attack that can damage multiple opponents. She looks terrifying, especially if you’re a Hela main, and she also has something else Marvel Rivals characters don’t: the built-in ability to move faster than a snail.

Season 3 will also kick off with a small selection of balance tweaks, primarily nerfs designed to rein in some of the most powerful heroes. Iron Man’s Ultimate will take longer to charge, for example, and Emma Frost won’t be as unstoppable when she enters her diamond form. There are a few buffs, however. The Invisible Woman’s healing restores more HP, and the Thing can knock flying characters out of the sky. You can check out the full set of notes on the Marvel Rivals website .

Finally, NetEase is adding two new team skills and improving who is involved in some existing skills.

Bond Always Burning (New) – Torch Human and Spider-Man

  • Human Torch damage increases by five percent
  • Spider-Man can use a new ability called Inferno Blast

Primal Flame (New) – Phoenix and Wolverine

  • Phoenix deals 10% more damage
  • Wolverine can use a new ability called Phoenix Warrior

Stark Protocol (Adjusted) – Iron Man and Girl Squirrel

  • Squirrel Girl can use the Squirrel Missile Team Skill

Symbiote Shenanigans (Adjusted) – Venom and Jeff the Land Shark or Hela

  • Added HeLa to the team, allowing her to use the Hel Tildrils ability
  • Venom gains 150 additional HP when Hela is on the field

These two teams will no longer be active once Marvel Rivals Season 3 begins:

  • ESU Alumnus (Spider-Man and Girl Squirrel)
  • Invade Ignition (Storm and Human Torch)
