The former NBA star, 60, shared that his 2016 Las Vegas wedding to Angela was unplanned and suggested something unusual influenced his decision to tie the knot that night.
“It wasn’t even planned. We were in Vegas. We just did it,” Charles said during the interview. He added that he told someone he believed, “Someone put something in [his] drink” before the spur-of-the-moment nuptials.
Charles said he went to the mall, bought a ring and a jacket for his future bride, and proceeded to get married that same night.
Viewers respond: “He needs to stop playing her” The comments immediately sparked criticism online, with fans questioning Charles ’ respect for his wife and their relationship.
“Dry humor or not. He needs to stop playing her and their union on public and public platforms,” one viewer wrote in response to the interview.

“She really needs to consider taking some time alone because this is probably the most questionable marriage I’ve ever seen… I don’t know why she’s still with him, he clearly doesn’t want to get married!”
A third user added:
