Ezra Miller is opening up in his first public comments in years.
The 32-year-old actor, who goes by pronouns , made a rare appearance at the Filming Italy event on Wednesday (June 19) at the Forte Village Resort in Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy.
Ezra posed for photos alongside Milla-Alexia Gojkovic at the event. He also met with event organizer Tiziana Rocca .
During an interview, Ezra addressed his “crucible,” which is defined as a “severe test or study.”
In 2022, Ezra was arrested in Hawaii after an incident at a karaoke bar. They were also accused of harassing a woman in Germany, allegedly hosting three young children and their mother in Vermont in an “unsafe environment,” and were charged with felony theft in the state. They were also accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a young man they met when they were 12. The harassment order against Ezra was lifted in June 2023.
Ezra gave an interview to several media outlets while attending the conference.

“When we go through these crucibles, if we can survive, which was in the air for me, if I’m being real, we have this ability to see other people in their crucibles and just reach out to them. I think what really comes down to, like what is the world is that what is the world is that what is the world is that what is the world is that is very rarefied. By going through that and being a friend to people,” Ezra told LO Speciale Giornale .
They added: “And I’m also grateful for the revelations of those who weren’t. When you work in this industry, you’re going to find yourself in deep, deep relationships with a lot of people who don’t give a single FK about you, or your well-being, so I don’t have time anymore.”
While they weren’t photographed, Ezra made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival last month.
