John Elway will not be charged in the death of his former agent Jeff Sperbeck , who fell from a golf cart the Hall of Fame quarterback was driving.
Authorities ruled it an accidental death, according to USA Today .
Riverside County (California) Sheriff Chad Bianco told a Denver television station that his investigation into the April incident was complete.

“It’s over,” he told 9News . “We talked to everyone involved and found nothing new. There was nothing criminal. That’s what we’ve been saying all along: this was a tragic accident.”
The 62-year-old was standing on the back of a golf cart on a course in La Quinta, California, on April 26 when he fell and hit his head.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office ruled his death caused by “blunt force trauma” and that the manner of death was “an accident.” Learn more about the tragic incident.
