He lives, he dies, he lives again! Starting today, the Max streaming service has officially rebranded as HBO Max, returning to the name it originally launched under in May 2020.
Max’s decision to once again be known as HBO Max is attributed to Warner Bros. Discovery, capitalizing on its desire for the streamer to encompass a broad range of content for everyone, including those who may prefer Discovery Channel’s reality shows over HBO’s acclaimed series and films. The return of HBO to the name is an effort to reemphasize the network’s power as a brand .
