Miley Cyrus and her mom Tish Cyrus are setting the record straight on their Instagram unfollow drama.
The 32-year-old “Flowers” singer and her mom recently caught attention when Tish, 58, unfollowed Miley after she was spotted spending time with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus . According to the pair, there was nothing shady going on and it was nothing more than an Instagram fail.

On Thursday’s (June 19) episode of Tish and eldest daughter Brandi Cyrus Podcast, Miley shed light on why her mom unfollowed her.
“I went to see Zurro and he mysteriously followed me — and then he got a reaction and suddenly he knew how to press the follow button,” Miley recalled during the episode. She went on to explain that despite the speculation, the truth was much simpler.
Miley explained: “There’s a meta bug, naturally you unfollow the person you follow with the most engagement. … I was like, ‘Mommy lost her glasses and I can’t see,’ which is what I thought happened. So there was a meta bug.”
