“I have decided that my children will not have access to my fortune until a period of thirty years has passed, starting today,” he shared with French outlet Le Point . “I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves, to learn to trust themselves, to be able to create, not to depend on a bank account.”
“I want to specify that I do not differentiate between my children: there are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations,” Pavel reveals. “They are all my children and they will all have the same rights! I do not want them to be separated after my death.”
He then reveals that he is the “official father” of six children, with three different partners.
“The others come from my anonymous donation,” he added. “The clinic where I started donating sperm 15 years ago to help a friend told me that more than 100 babies had been conceived this way in 12 countries.”
On why he already wrote his will at a younger age, Pavel said: “My work involves risks – defending freedoms earns you many enemies, including in powerful states. I want to protect my children, but also the company I created, Telegram. I want Telegram to forever remain true to the values I defend.”
Pavel is reportedly worth $17.1 billion at this point, according to Forbes . He ranks 118 out of 2025 billionaires.
If he even distributed his current wealth among the 106 children, each one would receive $161.3 million in 30 years!
