The 44-year-old actress is best known for her role in the drama series This Is Us . Now, Chrissy is joining the cast of an upcoming Apple TV+ series based on the Joona Linna series by Lars Kepler .
Chrissy joins Liev Schreiber , Zazie Beetz , Stephen Graham , Bill Camp and Rory Culkin who have already been announced to be cast in the series.

Apple shared the series description, which reads as follows: The project tells the story of Jonah Lynn ( Liev ), a former soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But when the town and his family are attacked by the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter ( Stephen ), Jonah must protect everything he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his adopted daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer ( Zazie ), against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?
Variety reports that Chrissy Vai will play Ida, a single mother whose life is turned upside down after her children disappear.
