R. Kelly’s emergency motion for home detention in an effort to protect him from what he claims is a “widespread conspiracy” to kill him was denied by a judge on Thursday, who said his claims were not supported by evidence.
The R&B singer’s plea would see him released from prison and placed on temporary furlough. Judge Harry Leinenweber’s plea to 2023’s 240-month prison sentence came a week after Kelly was rushed to the hospital after overdosing on prescription drugs given to him by prison staff.
