Simon Cowell confused everyone with his bike costume.
The talent show judge was spotted by fans crisscrossing south London amid the heatwave, which has seen temperatures hit the hottest of the year so far.
But despite the 34C blaze, which saw health alerts issued across the country, Simon looked like he was dressing for a different season entirely.
Captured by Tiktok user @Plus44Unrulyfluffy, the X Factor mogul cycled into Wandsworth wearing some weather-appropriate white shorts and a totally weather-appropriate puffer jacket.
The BGT judge completed his cycling look with his signature black shades.
And he seemed more than happy to pause his stroll to chat with the group sitting in the car, the window rolled down.
Totally overjoyed at the unexpected encounter, a guy behind the camera is heard declaring: ‘Yes, Simon!’
‘Are you really on your bike? I can’t believe it,’ a girl screamed.
‘Why are you like this?’ she asked him, to which Simon smiled, ‘What?’
‘On your bike, aren’t you scared?’ she asked.
“Well, I got lost, but it’s faster,” Simon replied.
‘Please go with God, okay?’ the fan added as the hysterical interaction continued.

“I promise,” Simon smiled, flashing a wave and a thumbs up before riding his bike.
The whole situation was bananas, to say the least, and viewers in the comments were left in stitches, mostly due to what he was wearing at a time when the rest of us are in caps and swimsuits.
“Why does he have a woodland jacket in this weather,” wrote a puzzled @00unknownuser001.
‘A blower in this weather is crazy,’ echoed @DontroportEdifuge.
@kttnt_ added: ‘What did he just leave? No security?’
‘He seemed absolutely delighted with this interaction too,’ laughed @NorthernChill12, with many others loving how ‘wholesome’ it was.

Equally amusing, @simpleeeteee said: ‘He stopped like he just saw his aunt and uncle in traffic also funny’
Others commented saying they had seen Simon in the capital on his bike several times, just mingling with other commuters.
He now rides confidently; however, it took Simon a while to get back on the bike after an accident in 2020.
The America’s Got Talent judge broke his back in August of that year after he fell off an electric bike he was testing at his California home.
He required intensive surgery, which included having a metal rod inserted into his back to stabilize it.
Then in 2022, Simon, who is a proud father to 11-year-old Eric, suffered a second serious accident, after which he admitted he was “lucky to survive”.

Just 18 months after his first incident, Simon was on the road near his home in west London, having taken a sharp turn around a corner in wet conditions and felt his bike lift out from under him.
He was sent crashing to the ground, having soared at a speed of around 20 km/h.
Simon was rushed to hospital and suffered a broken arm, a badly bruised cheek and possible concussion.
Fortunately, this didn’t diminish his love for riding, as when asked if he would be giving up the hobby, he said in a later interview: ‘I’m still going to stay on my bike. I’m obsessed with that stuff.’
The trials also gave Simon a new perspective, as he later shared with The Sun that he was so close to living the rest of [his] life in a wheelchair.
‘It gives you a completely different outlook on life. In a positive way,’ he said. ‘It hurt – it stung me – when it happened, but good things happened on the back of it.’
