Soulwax, the Belgian electronic music duo of brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, have announced their first album in seven years. All Systems Are Lying comes out October 17 (via Deewee / Because Music ). Leading the follow-up to 2018’s Essential are two new songs: The Record’s title track and “ Run Free .” Listen to both below.
In a press release, Soulwax described All Systems Are Lying as “a rock album made without electric guitars.” The duo continued, “We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments—lively, loud, and free. This record is the result of that experiment.”
Alongside their work as Soulwax, the Dewaele brothers perform as 2Manydjs and run the record label Deewee. In recent years, Deewee has released notable works by Charlotte Adigéry Assim, Bolis Pupul , and Marie Davidson, among others.
