As President Donald Trump continues to face criticism from his own voters and beyond over the Jeffrey Epstein files — or rather, the lack thereof, according to the DOJ and FBI — former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin said during Monday’s episode of “The View” that it marks a major shift in the maga circuit.

“I think this is the biggest fracture of Maga we’ve seen to date,” she said. “But I really think people far beyond Trump supporters care about this. They want to understand what happened to Jeffrey Epstein and what the government knows.”

Last week, a Justice Department and FBI memo obtained by multiple news organizations stated that no client list exists for convicted sex offender Epstein, despite what Trump and several members of his cabinet had previously stated.

Discussing this during Monday morning’s Hot Topics of the Day, Farah Griffin noted that it was no accident that this memo came out.

“The way this would work is that the White House would, at the very least, be aware that this information is being released,” she explained. “And the president of the United States, if he wanted to do what his base is asking and release any remaining evidence that exists about Jeffrey Epstein, he would have the authority to say, ‘No, no, Pam, I would release everything.’

It seems many of Trump’s own supporters have also discovered this and have since become angry with the president online and at events, including Turning Point USA. According to Farah Griffin, this anger likely stems from years of promises now ignored.

She quickly pointed out how many members of Trump’s cabinet, including his own Vice President J.D. Vance, brought up Epstein “constantly” during their campaigns and promised to expose him and anyone associated with him, only to suddenly cry that people are still asking about it.

“So there’s like math that’s not adding up, and I think the public feels really lied to,” Farah Griffin said. “We know Epstein was a really bad guy, we know he committed crimes. But the facts they’re giving us after years of saying, ‘There’s a there there, and there’s more information,’ are not good enough and they’re not going to go away.”
