South African pop star Tyla has shared a sultry new single called “Is It.” Watch the accompanying visual below.
The seductive single, produced by Sammy Soso, is a sexy shot straight to the heart of the dance floor. Thick with wavy Amapiano rhythms, “Is It” has the makings of a party favorite for the summer of 2025.
The song’s visuals are directed by Aerin Moreno, who also created the music video for Tyla’s 2024 hit, “Push 2 Start.” The “IS It” clip offers a multidimensional dance experience, featuring Tyla performing her choreography, as well as a routine with a line of backup dancers and a more intimate dance with a male counterpart. The visual concludes with the singer immersed in a crowded nightclub experience, surrounded by bodies moving to the song’s infectious beat—all of this happening without Tyla leaving the room.

“I’m excited to see this new version of me and hear what it’s like and just have fun with it — just bring back the music,” the singer explained in a statement to NYLON magazine.
“Is” follows Tyla’s most recent single, “Blessing,” which dropped last May after debuting the track at Coachella 2025.
Tyla had a busy year, with appearances at the Met Gala, Governors Ball, and hosting Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. She also contributed a new song, “Everything Go Blue,” to the official soundtrack of the animated feature film The Smurfs, which was released last June. Later this month, she’s set to headline the Tipsy Music Festival in Barbados.
