Zoe McGrady is opening up about life after being a contestant on Grant Ellis’ season of The Bachelor .
The 27-year-old came in third place on season 29 of The Bachelor . According to Zoe, it took her a while to leave the show.
After her elimination, Zoe was cast on Bachelor in Paradise but she says she needed to do some healing before going on the show.

“It was a tough season, and I think I had done a lot of healing before the season, and a lot of things happened that had triggered some things for me. So I think it was good to just center myself and get back to my center,” Zoe told PEOPLE in an interview, noting that she “did some therapy” after she left The Bachelor .
Zoe shared that, although her experience on The Bachelor wasn’t easy, she doesn’t feel like it was the hardest thing she’s ever done.
When asked what she hopes to find in a partner, Zoe said she wants someone who “chooses [her] from the start.”
She told PEOPLE, “I’m still looking for the same person I was last season. I want someone who’s funny, who’s smart, who’s driven, and also someone who’s protective. I want a man who sees my worth as a woman and allows me to be in that feminine energy, but also allows me to be me, who is a bold, powerful woman who doesn’t need a man, but wants one.”
