A franquia Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) está atualmente envolvida em uma controvérsia depois que uma debandada horrível eclodiu do lado de fora do M Chinnaswamy Stadium após a vitória do título.
After years of heartbreak on the field, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally lifted their maiden IPL trophy in 2025, and now, they’ve followed it up with a win off the field. In a landmark in the IPL’s financial landscape, RCB has overtaken long-time rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to become the league’s most valuable franchise, ending CSK’s reign at the top of the valuation charts.

RCB reigns as IPL’s top-valued team
RCB’s brand value leapt from $227 million to $269 million following their maiden IPL title in 2025. Mumbai Indians (MI) occupy the second spot at $242 million, while CSK, hampered by a bottom-of-the-table finish, now ranks third at $235 million. CSK had a horrendous IPL 2025 campaign, finishing with just four wins out of 14 league games.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) emerged as the surprise risers this season, posting a 39.6% brand value gain to $141 million, buoyed by a strong on-field performance. They reached an IPL final for the first time since 2014.
IPL hits new commercial heights
Overall, the IPL’s value surged 12.9% to a record-breaking $18.5 billion, while its brand value soared 13.8% to $3.9 billion. Broadcast and streaming revenues alone are estimated to have topped ₹5,000 crore (~$600 million), which is a 50% rise over 2024.
JioStar, the merged entity of Star India and JioCinema, raked in nearly ₹4,500 crore through 32 sponsorship deals, expanding its subscriber base to over 300 million. Viewership also reached unfathomable heights: since its launch, JioHotstar logged 1 billion viewers across TV and digital platforms and accumulated 840 billion minutes of watch time. The season’s final between RCB and Punjab Kings was the most-watched T20 match ever, drawing 57.8 crore streams (578 million) on JioHotstar and 169 million TV viewers.
