IPL 2026 Rumores comerciais: CSK Eye Revamp, Rachin Ravindra para deixar e Bravo, Raina para retornar

Yet another trade rumour linking CSK has come to the fore, just weeks after reports claimed that the five-time champions were looking to rope in Sanju Samson. Weeks earlier, an expert had claimed that Ruturaj Gaikwad and co. were looking to trade a left-handed middle-order batter and an Indian off-spinner for an wicket-keeper opener. Now, another report claims that CSK are looking to let go of more players for other talents.

Rachin Ravindra to leave CSK in IPL 2026?

As posted on RCBXTRA’s X handle, CSK are reportedly looking to trade Rachin for DC’s Donovan Ferreira. It claims that Delhi Capitals are on the hunt for a new opener as they are likely to release Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk. Further, it claims that CSK legends Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo might return to the franchise as a part of support staff for IPL 2026.

After enjoying a stellar season in 2024, Rachin Ravindra failed to fire in IPL 2025.He only managed to score 191 runs from 8 matches, including a highest score of 65. The New Zealand simply failed to fire and fit in CSK’s XI that was being chopped and changed after they kept losing game after game.

On the other hand, Ferreira was used more as an impact player by DC and didn’t play a lot of games. One can possibly argue as to why CSK aren’t trying to rope in du Plessis, who is no stranger to the team, if he is being released by DC.

Towards the end of IPL 2025, reports claimed that Suresh Raina would return to CSK as the batting coach next season. The CSK legend was asked about the same on television and he kept the cards close to his chest.

As for Dwayne Bravo, he only moved to KKR before IPL 2025 as bowling coach. However, neither KKR nor CSK managed to fare well in this season, with the latter finishing at the bottom of the points table for the first time in the IPL history.
