Musheer Khan announced his return to red-ball-cricket with a bang, with his all-round performance in MCA Colts vs Notts Second XI. The game marked the first red-ball appearance for the star since he was a part of a horrific car crash last year. Musheer featured in IPL 2025 as well, while his brother Sarfaraz had gone unsold.

Musheer Khan smashes ton, takes 6-fer

Playing for Mumbai Colts XI, Musheer smashed an century (123) and registered figures of 6/31 from 8.2 overs. Initially, the Mumbai all-rounder had scored a century which allowed the side to amass a 448-run total. Musheer’s with the ball enabled India to restrict Notts to 201 from 42.2 overs.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) had announced plans for the tour back in February, aiming to provide international exposure to its brightest young players. The team will play 10 matches in total — five two-day games and five one-day games — against various local sides in England.

Musheer is the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, who has already made his debut for the Indian Test team. The icing on the cake was his performance in the 2024 Under-19 World Cup in South Africa, where he scored 360 runs in seven matches. Bowling left-arm spin, he picked up seven wickets at an economy rate of under four runs per over. His centuries came against New Zealand and Ireland.

Additionally, he picked up seven wickets while maintaining his economy rate below four.

Meanwhile, his brother Sarfaraz Khan has been left out of India’s squad for the ongoing ENG vs IND Test series. Despite consistent domestic performances, the Mumbai batter has been sidelined and has not made it to the playing XI in the Australia or England series. He went unsold at the IPL 2025 auction while hils brother Musheer was sold to PBKS.
