IPL 2026: Bharat Arun é um treinador experiente de boliche, que foi elementary para moldar as carreiras de Vaibhav Arora e Harshit Rana na KKR.
Team LSG have roped in former India bowling coach, Bharat Arun, for his services from IPL 2026. He is making a switch from KKR, where he went on to win the 2024 season as well, and served the team since 2022. As per Cricbuzz, it is a two-year-deal with the Sanjiv Goenka-owned team.
Bharat Arun leaves KKR, joins LSG
The move comes after LSG is unlikely to continue with Zaheer Khan. Plus, the chances of Justin Langer’s contract being renewed — as the head coach — are pretty low. Meanwhile, KKR have also parted ways with their head coach, Chandrakant Pandit, and will make the two new recruitments after a selection process.
As for Bharat Arun, it was earlier reported, that the coach was due to join CSK as the bowling coach. As per Times of India, the team was looking to replace Eric Simmons, who has been associated with them since 2018. But on the flip side, a top CSK official had already denied any such plans.
Zaheer Khan ousted, Justin Langer uncertain
Coming back to KKR, it seems, the team had a big pool of support staff already, and with Dwayne Bravo coming in as the team mentor, there was mutual consent between both parties, to part ways amicably. As for LSG, the team faces a big challenge ahead of the season, as their pace battery is riddled with injuries.
In the 2025 season, Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan missed the whole seasons — Akash Deep was injured for a while, and so was Avesh Khan. As a result, they had to get Shardul Thakur, to fill in the gaps. It could be a big challenge for Arun to find some new bowlers, and manage the injuries of the ones who get retained.
