Rishabh Pant retired hurt: What happened?

Rishabh Pant looked well settled at 37 building a vital partnership with Sai Sudharsan in the middle. Facing Chris Woakes, Pant attempted an audacious reverse sweep, only to be hit flush on his foot. The 27-year-old immediately went down and looked in severe pain as the physio rushed on.

The extent of the injury was not known, but Pant was helped off by the physio off the field. Pant was then retired hurt and taken off in a little ambulance for further treatment.
