Playing Zimbabwe on his home ground, Ben Duckett began the English summer with a stunning century. Batting first, the left-hander took on the visitors with his typical Bazball style, easily finding the gaps. It was his 5th Test century, continuing his good run of form.

Duckett dealt with pace and spin with equal elegance, hitting 20 boundaries and 2 sixes in his 134-ball stay. He was eventually dismissed for 140, having put his side on top in the game. The left-hander averages 41.55 in the format, striking at 86.78. The England opener’s form bodes well for Ben Stokes, with a huge India vs England series on the horizon.

Duckett does not have the best of numbers against India. However, the left-hander has played all of his games against the Men in Blue in India. He scored 153 against India at Rajkot and will hope to repeat more of the same in more familiar conditions. He averages 47.95 at home, striking at 88.87.
