While the world said, “I believe in Siraj bhai”, even skipper Shubman Gill was compelled to say so. At the post-match conference, he went on to reveal, that the team always had the belief in him, and he has once again earned the respect in the dressing room.

“We used to say this earlier also that ‘we only believe in Siraj bhai’. He has earned the respect in dressing room.” And why not. After all, the pacer showed no signs of slowing down, even after playing 5 matches. For his 23 wickets in the series, he went on to bowl over 1100 balls.
Interestingly, the delivery he bowled to Gus Atkinson, that claimed his wicket, was bowled at 143 kmph, his fifth fastest ball in the series. That just shows, he just gave it his everything, that his body had.
