Virat Kohli para jogar DPL? Cidade natal, garoto “muito envolvido no críquete de Delhi”

Delhi District Cricket Association hopes that stalwart Virat Kohli will be part of the Delhi Premier League in the future. The former Indian captain had returned in whites to represent Delhi in the Ranji Trophy after over a decade earlier in February. While Kohli’s nephew is already a part of DPL 2025, the DDCA president has opened up the possibility of Virat joining the league.

Will Virat Kohli play DPL?

Speaking to News18, DDCA president Rohan Jaitley claimed that Virat Kohli was very much involved in Dehi cricket the same way as before. He stated that while the board would be the happiest if he was a part of DPL, it was far more important for him to guide and mentor the youngsters in the league.

“We would be the happiest if he participates, but for a person of his stature, mentorship and guidance to younger cricketers is far more important. And I am sure he is very much involved in Delhi cricket as he was earlier on. There is no distinction, and he is there for daily cricket whenever required,” remarked Rohan Jaitley.

Virat has currently retired from Tests and T20Is and is only active in the ODIs. He recently ended his 18-year-wait to be a part of the RCB side that finally lifted an IPL trophy.

Virat Kohli’s nephew to play under Badoni

Virat Kohli’s nephew, Aryaveer, was snapped up by South Delhi Superstarz for ₹1 lakh. A 15-year-old leg-spinner, Aryaveer is being coached by Rajkumar Sharma,the same mentor who once nurtured Virat himself. Rajkumar was present at the auction as well.

While Aryaveer hasn’t yet played for the Delhi state team, his inclusion in the DPL could shape him in an even better way. While the spotlight will certainly be on him, Aryaveer will play under Ayush Badoni, who led the franchise to the final last season.
