WCL 2025: Paquistão para “evitar” enfrentar a Índia nas meias-finais, obtenha 2 pontos do empate abandonado

Pakistan Champions owner has claimed that the team will avoid facing India in the WLC 2025 semi-finals. His remarks come after the India vs Pakistan tie was abandoned after several Indian players decided to boycott the clash. The match between the arch-rivals was supposed to mark the start of the tournament for the Indian team led by captain Yuvraj Singh.

Pakistan won’t face India in WCL 2025 semis

As per NDTV, Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan claimed that while the rest of the team’s matches will take place as per schedule, the team will avoid facing India in the semi-final, should they reach there. It is pertinent to point out that both India and Pakistan could also face each other in the final. In such a situation, it remains to be seen how the WCL 2025 organisers deal with the stalemate.

“All the remaining matches are taking place. The tournament is going on as per schedule, and there are no changes. As for the semifinals and final, we’re currently saying that if we make it to the semifinals, there will be four teams, and we will avoid matches between the two teams,” he said.

The India vs Pakistan clash at Edgbaston was called off after stars like Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf and Irfan Pathan decided to boycott the clash. After the tie was called off, Pakistan Champions owner said that the team had got 2 points from the abandoned tie.

“If we reach the final, then the decisions regarding that will be made then. And as for this match, the two points will be awarded to us, and we deserve those points as per the rules,” he added.
